It's no coincidence that Bayernmoor's first wine offering is a rosé. Rosé has come a long way in the last few years, and so have we. The wine community along with a new generation of wine lovers are continuing to discover how rich, refreshing, and complex a nice glass of rosé can truly be. Just as rosé has become the perfect entry point for consumers to discover the joys of wine, our 2017 Rosé is the perfect offering for wine lovers to discover Bayernmoor.
Our rosé is an homage to the region where it was perfected, Provence. It is a traditional blend of Grenache and Mourvedre sourced from Clifton Vineyard in the Wahluke Slope AVA. Contact with the grape skins during crush was limited to 5 hours to achieve the beautiful pink melon color of the wine. Vinified to almost complete dryness, we left just enough sweetness to tickle the tip of your tongue. That coupled with a balanced acidity makes this an incredibly versatile wine for food pairing or to just enjoy after a warm day in the sun. With plenty of summer left, take a bottle (or two) with you as you venture out to the beach, go camping, or indulge in an evening of food and wine pairing.
We always enjoy seeing where our wine has traveled, so please post your pictures and tag us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. As we toil away in the vineyard and winery, we enjoy living vicariously through your posts and knowing the fruits of our labor are being enjoyed.
